Agritusimo De Santis is a great place for both campers or B&B guests in walking distance from the Tuscan coastal town, Castiglioncello.

Unlike the traditional campsites close to the coast, this place is small and atmospheric surrounded by Di Santis own olive trees. The road to the coast is a bit hilly and is about 20 minutes walk.

The campsite is very well maintained, with new bathroom facilties, a barbeque area and a good size pool.
We visited the place in end-May before the bathing and tourist season started off. We could imagine the area to be quite crowded during high season. In particular during this period, staying at a low key campsite as Agritusimo De Santis is ideal. You will have the quiet camp area but at the same time the option to go down take a swim, do some shopping or eat at one of the good seafood restaurants. Many of the restaurant are located at the sea front with a great view. We really liked the restaurant Bagno Tirreno (actually so much that we came here twice).

Also grab some fritti del mare for lunch at the “Pescheria da Maria e Massimo”. It is a nice little low key fish restaurant / bar / small fish shop.
The coast area of Castiglioncello consists of several small laguens and harbours between which you can walk. The water is very clear but most beaches are quite rocky / pebbles with a few sand stretches. Apart from the small public beach then you have to rent a chair for getting access to the swimming platforms.

Finally, you should try out Di Santis own produced olive oil. It is really good and seeing how he bottles and labels it is part of the experience.
